Yes. Eurogate Logistics holds IATA CASS membership, so our desks book airline space directly and settle air waybills through the Cargo Accounts Settlement System. That means you get a rate from the chosen airline rather than a consolidator's mark-up, with the booking handled by our own people.
We run airport-side air freight desks in Hungary and the Czech Republic, at Budapest-Airport and Prague-Airport, with further air desks in the UK and Poland. Because we book directly with the airlines, we can route through whichever departure and arrival airports suit the lane, including high-demand corridors such as China to the UK.
Yes. We handle UN-classified dangerous goods by air, with classification, documentation, and screening managed in-house by the same operator who books the flight. Goods with specific air restrictions, such as lithium batteries, are assessed against the current IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations before booking, so tell us the cargo type and any UN numbers at the enquiry stage.
Air freight is charged on whichever is greater, the actual weight or the volumetric (chargeable) weight, which converts the size of the consignment into a weight figure. Light, bulky cargo is therefore usually priced on its volume, while dense cargo is priced on its actual weight. Send us the dimensions, weight, and commodity and we will confirm the chargeable weight and a rate for the lane.
Both. On door-to-door terms we arrange collection from the shipper, the flight, and final delivery to the consignee. On airport-only terms the cargo is released from the airline shed at destination for the consignee's own clearance and collection, and the same operator runs the job from quote through to whichever handover point applies.
