Eurogate Logistics books space directly with major shipping lines, keeping both the rate and the schedule in our hands. The same office that quotes your shipment also arranges the documentation, destination customs clearance and inland leg, so cargo and paperwork move together. When your cargo needs more than a standard container and sailing, we draw on our Project Cargo Network and HLPFI memberships to handle oversized and heavy‑lift moves by sea.
Eurogate has experience supporting customers across a wide range of sectors, from food and packaging through to packed chemicals, construction equipment and specialist consignments outside standard pallet formats. The Group also has a strong track record supporting sectors such as oil and gas, engineering, steel fabrication and energy.

Eurogate’s services are delivered through experienced teams who manage lanes across their regions, coordinate between markets where required, and support customers from collection to delivery. That includes customs management, local market guidance, and direct communication throughout the movement.
We book FCL and LCL capacity directly with major shipping lines and co-loaders, giving us greater control over rates, space allocation and sailing schedules.
Our Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser reviews the documents, packaging and segregation before booking, so IMDG‑classed dangerous goods shipments are cleared internally.
We start with your pick up window, port cut-off times and inland transport requirements, then select the FCL or LCL routing that best fits your operational needs.
You get progress updates from booking through to confirmed delivery, so you know where the cargo is without chasing the carrier yourself.
The structure of Sea Freight depends on the route, the consignment and the level of support required. Features may include the following.
Ambient and chilled food and drink move by full or shared container, with temperature-controlled boxes where the commodity needs them and inland collection and delivery arranged at both ends of the sailing.
“I’ve been working with Eurogate Logistics for about seven years, and I can say it’s been a good seven years. As is often the case in transport, there are better months and then there are really tough times, but the Eurogate Logistics team always rises to the occasion, seeking the best possible solutions to keep the carriers they trust happy. It’s hard to find this approach these days.”

Speed matters in logistics. We’ve built our operation around getting your cargo where it needs to go without delay, backed by terminals positioned across eight nations and staffed by people who know the work.
Ocean freight space booked directly with the shipping lines under our own contracts.
A Safety Adviser on our own team reviews hazardous bookings before they sail.
The sailing is selected to match your cut‑offs and delivery window.
FCL (Full Container Load) gives your cargo exclusive use of a container, so it moves as a sealed unit without consolidation and is best suited to larger or regular shipment volumes. LCL (Less than Container Load) shares container space with other consignments, so you pay only for the capacity you use, making it a cost-effective option for smaller or less frequent shipments.
We run full-container and consolidated ocean freight worldwide, with direct port access through Gdańsk, Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Antwerp and Felixstowe, supported by direct relationships with the major shipping lines. The inland leg at each end is arranged by our own offices near those ports, so the same team handles the carrier, the port, and the delivery. Cargo beyond our direct lanes is routed through our established agent network.
The core document is the bill of lading (B/L), which we draft with the carrier and send to you for approval before the vessel sails, along with any export and destination security filings. On your side, we need the commercial invoice, packing details, and an accurate cargo description so customs and port handling run smoothly. One Eurogate team prepares the shipping documents and handles the customs clearance, rather than splitting it across separate providers.
Ocean transit depends on the lane, the ports, and the sailing schedule, so we quote a realistic door-to-door timeframe with the freight rather than a port-to-port figure alone. We plan around the port cut-off at origin and the inland slot at destination, and we build in a buffer for vessel schedule changes. During transit we monitor the sailing and keep you updated on the ETA as it firms up or shifts.
Yes. Out-of-gauge and overweight ocean cargo is handled alongside our project cargo desk, which arranges the routing, the lift, and any survey or securing the cargo needs. For full heavy-lift and breakbulk projects, see the Project Cargo page, or tell us the dimensions and weight and we will route it the right way.
Demurrage and detention build up when a container sits at the port or stays out beyond its free time, so we plan collection and clearance around the free days to keep the container moving. We watch the sailing schedule and flag any change early, so you can prepare clearance and the inland leg before the container lands rather than after. Where a delay is outside your control, we work the options with the carrier rather than leaving you to absorb it.
